Bay Meats Butcher Shop prides itself on providing the highest quality of fresh meats available. Our meat is cut in-house by our butchers, and custom orders are most welcome.
All of our fresh sausages, fresh burger patties, smoked sausages, pepperettes and pepperoni are GLUTEN FREE. We do not add fillers to our products—only fresh meat and certified ‘gluten free’ spices are in our products.
Beef: Looking for Canadian beef? It’s all we carry here—Northridge Farms AAA beef from Alberta, and Thunder Bay-grown Charlais cows from Bruce and Valve Forrest. Let’s show our support for our local farmers!
Pork: As well as fresh pork tenderloin, chops and roasts, you can choose from our smoked leg hams and boneless loins.
Chicken: We bring in fresh chicken breasts, legs and wings from Granny’s in Manitoba daily. If you are looking for a hormone and antibiotic free chicken, try the line of products from The Poultry Place in St Jacob’s, Ontario.
Deli: We offer a full-service deli counter featuring a mouth-watering selection of European and Scandinavian meats and cheeses. How about Wensleydale Cheese with Cranberries, Red Dragon with Ale and Mustard Seed, or a Double Gloucester with Blue Stilton? All scrumptious with crackers, a glass of wine and a roaring fire
Smokehouse: Last year we installed a state-of-the-art smokehouse, so the smell of hickory and maple wafts through the Bay and Algoma neighbourhood. In addition to smoking our own ham, kielbasa, smokies, pepperettes, pepperoni and summer sausages, we also smoke back ribs, chicken and turkey.
Wild Game: Have moose meat or deer meat that needs to be processed? We can turn that meat into a wide variety of products—smokies, pepperettes, kielbasa to name a few. Did you know that not all smokehouses in Thunder Bay are provincially-licensed? When you leave your wild game at Bay Meats Butcher Shop, you can rest assured that your wild game is subject to the same stringent controls as the rest of our products.
